Nutritional Medicine

If you eat, you can benefit from nutritional medicine.

Nutrients are the building blocks of our body; they affect how we think, sleep, move and feel.

When we supply our body with the correct balance of nutrients, vitamins and minerals, it has the building blocks or tools to

run efficiently, creating optimum health and functioning.

Nutritional medicine is the study of how macronutrients (fats, carbohydrates and proteins) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) affect the chemical processes within the body.

We are all aware of the benefits of eating a healthy diet full of vegetables and fruit, but did you know that your body’s needs change over time?

If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, sick or going through a stressful time, your nutrient requirements are elevated and your body needs different kinds of food to cope.

The way each of us absorbs or metabolises nutrients can be slightly different; a food that feels great for me, may not feel great for you and vice versa.

Educating and empowering you on your unique health journey is my key philosophy.

You will gain insight into the chemical processes that keep your body functioning well and learn how to best support your health through targeted nutrition.

Given the fact that we generally consume food at least three times a day, I believe that food is the most powerful medicine.

As a clinical nutritionist, I will work with you to find foods that you can implement and enjoy with your friends and family on a daily basis.
