Hummus Delicious!



Dips are a great way to supercharge your snacks!


Hummus is high in protein, Calcium, Magnesium and other essential nutrients.


This is a staple in my kids lunchboxes.


It's great with Carrots, Cucumber, Celery as snacks, or on Wraps, rolls or Rice Crackers.


Ingredients

  • 1 Garlic Clove minced (optional)

  • 400 Gram Tin Chickpeas (drained and rinsed)

  • Juice from 1 Lemon

  • 1-2 Tablespoons of hulled Tahini (I love Mavers Brand)

  • 4 Tablespoons of Olive Oil

  • 1 Tsp Cumin

  • 1/2 Tsp Paprika

  • 1/4 Tsp Turmeric

  • Salt and Pepper to Taste


Method:

  • Add all ingredients to food processor and blend until desired consistency. (If you would like it a little smoother, you can add a small amount of water) .

  • Eat Straight away - or keep in sealed container for up to 5 days.


Yummy variations

  • Add roasted pumpkin for a sweeter dip

  • Add 1/2 Raw peeled Beetroot for a vibrant red dip
